About project
The standard children’s room is not about this project. The children’s rooms here are for two boys aged 7 and 11. The interior is in a loft style: brick, contrast combinations, wire mesh, aged barn wood, concrete texture. This quite brutal interior is mixed with unusual lighting, bright colored parts, a florarium and an aquarium (one of the boys is keen on fish keeping and amphibia). Functional elements shaped the style of the place. A kitchen-living room is designed in calm colors with one accent wall. A modern cat playground on the wall in the living room is an interesting functional and decorative detail. Such elements as a cat claw sharpener and a cat playground usually make the interior look simple, but in this project, on the contrary, this solution introduced an interesting detail while maintaining the design integrity
Plans
Area 100m². The main task was to turn a small pass-through room into a proper kitchen-living room. In order to achieve it, we had to reduce the square of the children’s bedrooms a little and to enlarge the area of the kitchen/living room. The jib doors to the children rooms don’t attract attention and don’t take up a lot of space. The dining area is compact due to the same front of the kitchen and the cooking island connected to the dining table. One peculiarity of the original plan was the off center window, which was used to zone the living room. The recreation area with a corner sofa is near the window; a TV and the doors to the children room are on the wall without the window.
